Food Trip, Part 1 of 6 : Fely J’s
I’m back!
17-day vacation + Mom’s homemade cooking + chocolates + junkfoods = 5 to 10 pounds weight gain. Argh!!! I need to diet!
Never thought i’d say this, because all my life i’ve been model-thin wafer-thin. Gross. I prefer to be healthier, just shed off the tummy please! Good luck to me talaga! Hahahaha.
Tried 6 new restaurants. Different Cuisines. Further explains the weight gain plus some visual evidence. Hehehe.
Located at 2nd Level, Greenbelt 5, Ayala Center, Makati.
Fely J’s Kitchen, a restaurant dedicated to the memory of Felicidad de Jesus-Cruz, mother of the late restaurateur Larry J. Cruz, features Fely J’s treasured recipes which she picked up in her travels. The restaurant offers a variety of Filipino and Asian dishes served Fely J’s style: fresh, natural and attractive, just as she was herself, a pretty, adventurous woman who grew old gracefully without artificial touches.
Our First Stop is of course Filipino Cuisine. We ordered Fely J’s Dilis-cious Rice, Tilapia with Sweet Plum Sauce, Malunggay Soup (i forgot the name and made this up), Sago at Gulaman and Iced Tea.

And because i craved for Filipino food all those months of eating chicken rice and kway teow, i absolutely loved this place! Authentic Filipino Restaurant with a modern twist.
The interiors are simple and elegant, my only complaint is it was too cold inside the restaurant and we did not bring our sweaters! hahaha.
Fely J’s Dilis-cious Rice is a breath of fresh air. You will tell yourself, how come i never though of that! Suprisingly the rice is not oily like most sinangag dishes.
Oooh the Tilapia, my favorite! Need i say more?
Dilis Rice, Tilapia and Malunggay Soup Combo is a perfect way to start my vacation! :)
