Food Trip, Part 2 of 6 : Sumo Sam
2. Sumo Sam Restaurant
Located at 6th level, Shangri-la Mall, Mandaluyong. I know that Actor Marvin Agustin is part owner, other than that i cannot find any other information about this restaurant.
We were at Sumo Sam for lunch almost 3 weeks ago, before going to St. Francis Condo. They ordered the set including Shrimp Tempura, Chicken Teriyaki, Oyster, Kebab, Bean Sprouts, Rice, Bacon Asparagus, Salmon and Sushi and Raspberry Tea. I honestly forgot the what it’s called, and since they don’t have their own website, i don’t have any reference.
I found their food a little bit blah (so-so, singlish translation). Bacon Asparagus is salty, fried rice is a little bit sticky and oily and the Chicken Teriyaki is plain tasting. But the Salmon is nice!
Overall, the dining experience is bearable although Sushi Tei is way better! Can’t wait to bring my family there when they come and visit again. Maybe i should get the membership card na! Hahaha.
Note to self, try Omakase Restaurant next time.
